Descripción: Pilar, Buenos Aires, Argentina - 24 September 2024: In what was expected to be the most balanced match of the quarterfinals, the new Ellerstina lineup delivered an exceptional performance. Led by the team’s sole remaining Pieres, Gonzalito, along with Sapo Caset's impressive scoring ability, solid defense from South African Nachi Du Plessis, and a standout game by 18-year-old Lukín Monteverde — who played like a seasoned veteran — they dominated La Ensenada from the outset. Jero del Carril stood out as the best player for La Ensenada. A great test for this new Ellerstina team, who will now compete in the semifinal of the Argentine Open, while Bigatti’s side took a small step back but will look to bounce back in Pilar next Sunday against Indios Chapaleufú. Teams and progression: Ellerstina UAE Yellow Rose: Guillermo Caset (h) 9 (14 goals, 11 from penalties), Lucas Monteverde (n) 8 (1), Gonzalo Pieres (h) 9 (2), and Ignatius du Plessis 9 (2). Total: 35. La Ensenada Dietrich: Juan Britos (h) 9 (4, one from a penalty), Alfredo Bigatti 9, Juan M. Zubía 9 (1), and Jerónimo del Carril 9 (7, six from penalties). Total: 36. Ellerstina UAE Yellow Rose: 2-0, 3-3, 8-3, 10-5, 13-7, 15-8, 18-11, 19-12. Yellow cards: Jerónimo del Carril (Chukker 5) and Lucas Monteverde (n) (Two at 2m.00s. of Chukker 6).
