Buenos Aires, Argentina – September 11, 2024: People during the vote on the presidential veto of the law that improved pensioners’ income. After the presidential veto of the law benefiting retirees by increasing their pensions, Argentine deputies ratified the measure that had previously passed in the Senate. Following the vote, protests erupted and were violently repressed by the anti-strike protocol of various police forces, with retirees, children, and press workers affected by tear gas and police batons.
