Avellaneda, Argentina – October 29, 2025: Racing Club was eliminated from the 2025 Copa Libertadores after drawing 0-0 with Brazil’s Flamengo in the second leg of the semi-finals, played at Estadio Presidente Perón (El Cilindro). This result, combined with a 1-0 defeat in the first leg, saw the Brazilian side advance to the final. Racing dominated the match statistics with 59% possession and 16 shots on goal, and played with a man advantage after Flamengo’s Gonzalo Plata was sent off in the 55th minute. However, the team failed to capitalize on its opportunities, including a crucial save by goalkeeper Agustín Rossi from a Luciano Vietto shot late in the game.
