Santiago, Chile – December 22, 2025: President Gabriel Boric inaugurated the National Space Center (CEN) at Los Cerrillos Air Base. This 5,800 m² complex, the country’s first aerospace HUB, aims for technological sovereignty by manufacturing national satellites in a specialized «Clean Room.» The facility integrates a mission control center and a supercomputer using AI to process critical data for mining and climate monitoring, acting as a bridge between the State, academia, and industry for both civil and defense purposes.
