Buenos Aires, Argentina – August 7, 2025: Buenos Aires bishop Jorge García Cuerva led a mass at the San Cayetano Sanctuary and blessed the faithful who gathered since early morning to pray for housing and jobs. As every year on August 7, thousands attend the traditional celebration of the patron saint of bread and labor. After the service, various social and union organizations launched a massive march to Plaza de Mayo to make their demands visible. According to organizers, more than 70 unions took part this year, rejecting President Javier Milei’s economic policies, particularly concerning unemployment, layoffs, and rising poverty.
