Retirees, labor unions, and social organizations march in front of the National Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 10, 2025. Members of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) joined the weekly protest led by retirees to demand improved pensions and living conditions. The rally took place one day before the CGT’s third nationwide general strike against President Javier Milei’s administration. Demonstrators gathered peacefully from 3 PM, voicing criticism of the government’s austerity policies. Security forces fenced off the Congress building, but the march proceeded without incidents. Tomorrow’s strike is expected to impact public services nationwide, though buses will continue operating as usual.
