Buenos Aires, Argentina – December 18, 2024: A Challenger 300 private jet, owned by the family of River Plate President Jorge Pablo Brito, crashed while attempting to land at San Fernando Airport. The aircraft, arriving from Punta del Este, Uruguay, overran the runway and collided with a nearby residence, resulting in a fatal fire. Both pilots, Martín Fernández Loza (44) and Agustín Orforte (35), tragically lost their lives. The crash caused significant damage to surrounding homes, prompting evacuations. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
